DigiHub

A digital-mode amateur radio hub for an existing Debian system.

One configuration for your station.

DigiHub brings together callsign lookup, GPS and Maidenhead location, digital modes, rig control and a browser interface. Configure it from a terminal or your browser. It installs onto an existing system rather than supplying a fixed SD-card image.

Requires 64-bit Debian 13 (Trixie), sudo access and a network connection. The project documents testing on Raspberry Pi, ClockworkPi uConsole and WSL2. WSL2’s default kernel does not support the AX.25 node mode.

Download & install

Download SHA-256 checksum

Install using the PlotLost-hosted repository:

sudo apt update && sudo apt install git
git clone https://www.plotlost.com/static/downloads/DigiHubHam.git
cd DigiHubHam
chmod +x install.sh
./install.sh

Alternatively, extract the source ZIP, open its DigiHubHam folder in a terminal, then run chmod +x install.sh followed by ./install.sh. Use ./install.sh nodb for manual callsign entry where lookup is unavailable. The installer downloads its required third-party dependencies.

New installations from this download use PlotLost for dhupdate. Existing GitHub installations must run the updated scripts/dhupdate from this download once to switch their updater.

Getting started

Open http://<digihub-host>:8080/ on your trusted local network. Edit settings with dhedit or the Configuration page. Use dhmode to select modes, and man <command> for command help. The browser’s Manual page also contains the command reference.

The web interface has no authentication and is intended for a trusted local network only. Do not expose it to the internet. The optional browser terminal also has no login and is off by default.
